YAKIMA, WA (June 21, 2021) – Friday morning, authorities arrested Abraham Guadarrama after a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 82 near Zillah.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 9:45 a.m. on east Interstate 82, south of Zillah.
 
As the road crews conduct roadside vegetation work, the vehicle went into a truck-mounted attenuator. Fortunately, a work truck set up to protect crews stop the vehicle from hitting a road crew.
 
Afterward, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to escape from the crash scene. However, the WSP found them eventually.
 
According to the investigators, the officers have pending charges against 27-year-old Abraham Guadarrama.
 
Meanwhile, his 60-year-old female passenger suffered injuries in the crash. Guadarrama and the injured passenger failed to wear seatbelts during the crash.
 
Moreover, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
