4 People Dead in El Paso Auto Accident on Interstate 10 West and Mile Marker 101

EL PASO, TX (July 9, 2024) – Sunday, Abigail Martinez and three children died in a brutal single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 West.

The incident happened at around 2:00 p.m. on Interstate 10 West at Mile Marker 101.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a westbound vehicle drove off the roadway for still unknown reasons and into the median. Then, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Abigail Martinez, overcorrected, lost control, and crashed before the vehicle came to rest on the north frontage road of Interstate 10.

Moreover, responders pronounced Martinez, and three children aged 3, 10, and 9 years old, dead at the scene.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued to investigate the crash.
