Three Men Die after Head-On Crash on 19th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (February 24, 2023) – Thursday night, 18-year-old Abelino Diaz and 38-year-old Octaviano Giron and another man died in a head-on crash on 19th Avenue.

The fatal head-on crash in Phoenix happened around 11:20 p.m. on February 24.

Phoenix Police said the head-on collision involved two cars.

Reportedly, a man driving one car and his passenger, another man, were taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.

They were identified as Diaz and Giron. The driver of the second car was also killed in the crash. That driver has not been identified.

Investigators said the car driven by Diaz was driving south in the northbound lanes of 19th Avenue when it struck the second car that was driving north.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
