Abel Angeles Struck and Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident

 
OXNARD, CA (November 18, 2020) – On Sunday evening, Abel Angeles of Oxnard suffered fatal injuries in a crash on C Street and Fifth Street.
 
According to authorities, the incident involved a 2014 Cadillac ATS sedan and a 30-year-old man. Furthermore, it occurred on C Street, north of Fifth Street at around 7:45 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a northbound Cadillac on C street struck 30-year-old Abel Angeles. Moreover, the man was walking eastbound on C Street north of Fifth when he went into the path of the Cadillac.
 
Afterward, responders rushed the pedestrian to Ventura County Medical Center after sustaining critical injuries. Police said that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the Cadillac driver that struck Mr. Angeles pulled over and remained at the scene.
 
Authorities confirmed that the driver cooperated with the authorities. At this time, officers do not believe that speed was a factor in the C street crash.
 
The Oxnard accident is under active investigation.
