Three People Died and One Person Hospitalized after Crash on Fred Waring Drive in Palm Desert

Palm Desert, CA (December 28, 2022) – Wednesday evening, three people died, including 69-year-old Abel Alvarado of Anza, after a crash on Fred Waring Drive.

The fatal crash in Palm Desert happened around 7:13 p.m. on December 28.

Riverside County Fire Department said the collision involved two vehicles. Authorities responded and found three people trapped inside one car, who needed to be extricated.

However, police said the driver and the two passengers died. 

Meanwhile, the solo occupant of the other car was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

No additional information is available at this time.
