20-Year-Old Woman Identified as Driver Killed in Crash near Tachevah Drive
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (January 20, 2019) – Authorities identified 20-year-old Aaliyah Jimenez of Cathedral City as the driver killed in a crash near Tachevah Drive.
According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the incident happened shortly after 7:30 PM. The victim’s vehicle reportedly traveled at a high rate of speed before it left the roadway and slammed into a tree.
Jimenez, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Investigators believe that alcohol played a role in the deadly collision. An investigation is ongoing to verify the claim and to identify other possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
