Two Women and Two Children Injured as a Car Crashed Into a Chicken Restaurant in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA (May 23, 2020) – Two women and two children were injured as a car crashed into a shopping mall in Lincoln Avenue near Empire Street about 1 PM Friday, said Anaheim Sgt. Shane Carringer.
Police said the vehicle did not hit anyone but instead, it struck a window that injured 4 people.
Luckily, the injuries are nothing serious.
It was discovered that the driver does not have a license to drive, he also admitted he got confused and stepped on the gas instead of the breaks as he was trying to park his vehicle.
In addition, a CCTV near the scene captured the accident, showing the man parking at a controlled speed but suddenly sped up.
Police said that the driver was clean, and was not under the influence of neither drugs or alcohol. He was cooperative during the investigation. The driver was released by the police at the scene, and he will be charged with driving without a license.
The investigation continues and once everything has been looked into, police will determine if there will be additional charges to be filed against him.
To summarize, always maintain focus whenever driving and parking your vehicle. Also, do not drive without a license. These simple things could save lives.
