99th Avenue High-Speed Crash Kills Woman and Injures Several People [Tolleson, AZ]

Tolleson, AZ (July 27, 2022) On Tuesday afternoon, a woman died and several others were injured in a high-speed crash on 99th Avenue.

Authorities say that the fatal collision happened around 4 p.m. off Interstate 10.

According to the Tolleson Police Department (TPD), a speeding southbound vehicle collided with a passenger vehicle with 5 occupants.

The impact ejected an adult woman on the second vehicle, authorities say that she died at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported 2 children who suffered non-life-threatening injuries to Phoenix Children’s hospital.

Additionally, paramedics also took the remaining 2 adults from the second vehicle to the hospital, both adults suffered serious injuries.

Police say that the driver of the first vehicle was the only occupant of his vehicle at the time of the crash. He did not suffer serious injuries.

Additionally, the driver stayed at the scene. Police say that he was not driving impaired.

TPD is investigating the incident and has not released further information at this time.
