Man Dead in San Francisco Pedestrian Accident
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 7, 2019) – A 96-year-old man died after a collision with a driver in West Portal Avenue on March 4.
The man was marked as the eighth person, and the sixth pedestrian, killed in a traffic-related accident in a week.
The driver hit the victim on Vincente Street and West Portal Avenue near the Muni station about 11:20 a.m. The driver stayed at the scene and helped with the authorities.
Meanwhile, medical responders transported the elderly man to the hospital, police spokesperson Officer Joseph Tomlinson said.
