95-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Collision with Pickup Truck on Lemon Grove Avenue and Broadway [Lemon Grove, CA]

1 Injured in Lemon Grove Pedestrian Accident

 
LEMON GROVE, CA (May 17, 2019) – A 95-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a collision with a pickup truck on Lemon Grove Avenue.
 
After the collision on May 16, the man ended up stuck underneath the vehicle.
 
The crash occurred after 8:55 a.m. in front of the 99 Cents Only store on Lemon Grove Avenue, just south of Broadway.
 
San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Montan said that after responders freed him, they took him to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of serious injuries/
 
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene. Also, authorities ruled out intoxication as a factor in the collision.
 
The collision remains under investigation. Authorities are encouraging anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Lemon Grove sheriff’s station at 619-337-2000.
