Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Renton Avenue in Skyway

 
SKYWAY, WA (October 4, 2019) – An 83-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian crash Friday in Skyway, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
 
The crash happened along Renton Avenue South near 68th Avenue South.
 
The man was crossing the street when a pickup truck hit him. As a result, the man died at the scene.
 
There was not a lot of light in the area, police said. Investigators say the man was not in a crosswalk.
 
The 66-year-old pickup driver stayed and cooperated with investigators. He was no impaired during the crash.
 
Renton Avenue South remains closed during the Sheriff’s investigation.
