Elderly Man Fatally Injured and Wife Hospitalized in Collision near Lacey Boulevard
LEMOORE, CA (October 11, 2018) – A man was killed Thursday afternoon following a two-car crash on Highway 41. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of family.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place shortly after 4:00 PM near Lacey Boulevard. A northbound Lincoln Town car was approaching Lacey when an eastbound Toyota Tundra failed to yield for traffic. The Toyota crossed the highway and collided with the Lincoln.
The 82-year-old man driving the Lincoln suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, his wife was transported to the Kaweah Delta Medical Center with minor injuries. Updates on her current medical condition were not immediately available. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
