80-Year-Old Tommy Bates Killed in US 380 Collision [Wichita Falls, TX]

Graham Man Dies in Wichita Falls Collision

Wichita Falls, TX (March 23, 2024) – 80-year-old Tommy Bates of Graham was killed following a US 380 collision Friday morning.

Investigators said a semi-trailer in the westbound lane began backing up unsafely with its trailer and crossing the eastbound lane. 

Sadly, the eastbound pick-up truck driven by Bates ran into the trailer.

Responding officers declared Bates deceased at the scene.

Troopers closed a section on US 380 as they investigated and opened it around 11:15 a.m.
