Should the Loved Ones of Allan Kalar File a Claim?
Dealing with the aftermath of a vehicle crash can seem unimaginable.
Thus, it is good to know that you may file a legal claim if you were injured or have lost a loved one in the collision.
A possible legal claim may help you move forward when a crash irreparably impacts you or your family.
Significantly, a wrongful death claim holds parties liable for the irrevocable damages they have caused.
Moreover, knowing that each state has laws covering who can file a wrongful death suit on
behalf of the deceased is helpful. These people are related to or depend financially on the person who died. The law usually allows the following people to file a wrongful death case:
- Surviving spouses;
- Domestic partners (registered domestic partnership);
- Children of the deceased;
- Financial dependents, parents, and minors under the care of the deceased;
- Personal representatives.
- These people can differ from state to state.
