Injuries Reported in San Diego Hit-and-Run Accident on 47th Street and Logan Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 3, 2021) – Tuesday noon, eight people sustained injuries following a two-vehicle crash on 47th Street and Logan Avenue.
According to Officer Scott Lockwood, the incident happened during lunch hour at South 47th Street and Logan Avenue.
Reports revealed that a Ford Mustang traveled at a high rate of speed. Then, it ran a red light and t-boned a westbound Honda.
The force of the crash pushed the Honda to crash onto a Fresheria juice bar. Then, the Mustang driver, a 60-year-old woman, fled the scene after the crash. However, authorities located and arrested the driver near the scene for hit-and-run.
Moreover, responders transported eight people to hospitals. Two of them were occupants of the Honda and six were customers of the shop.
Furthermore, authorities closed the intersection to give way to the investigation.
