SPOKANE, WA (May 26, 2021) – Tuesday night, eight people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near US 2.
 
The crash involving several vehicles blocked all westbound and two eastbound lanes around 5:30 p.m. Also, the officials confirmed that responders took eight people to local hospitals.
 
By 6:00 p.m. State trooper Jeff Sevigney revealed that the crash didn’t lead to serious injuries. However, the Spokane Fire Department later clarified that eight people suffered injuries, one critically. Also, responders freed one injured patient using the jaws of life.
 
At this time, the troopers haven’t confirmed whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the crash led to a traffic backup to the Altamont Street interchange roughly 3 miles by 5:40 p.m. The crash also backed up traffic on eastbound I-90 near the US 2 interchange.
 
By 8:00 p.m., all lanes have since reopened.
