Santa Barbara County, CA (September 16, 2022) On Friday morning, 8 people were hurt in a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 1.

Reports say that the minivan-sedan crash happened at San Lucia Canyon Road near the the Vandenberg Space Force Base main gate.

CHP initial reports indicate the crash involved 4 vehicles. Officials say that 3 of the 8 people injured were children. Paramedics airlifted the children in Copter 3 to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Additionally, 4 other people sustained moderate injuries and a person sustained minor injuries.

Meanwhile, CHP clarified that the collision involved a silver minivan and a black sedan.
