8 Injured in Head-On Collision on Marine View Drive [Tacoma, WA]

Tacoma, WA (July 17, 2023) – At about 1:30 a.m. on July 16, eight people sustained injuries following a head-on collision on Marine View Drive.

The traffic accident happened in the 5600 block area involving two cars.

A witness said that one car appeared to have been racing another car through the curves of Marine View Drive. Suddenly, one of the vehicles struck another head-on. The vehicle that was struck head-on was not involved in the racing. 

The second car that was racing the at-fault vehicle fled the scene.

Eight people were injured and transported to area hospitals. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries and four others were listed in serious condition.
