79-Year-Old Man Injured in Vehicle Collision on Sorrento Valley Road [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (August 15, 2022) – On Friday night, a 79-year-old man sustained injuries in a vehicle collision on Sorrento Valley Road.

The traffic incident happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 11600 block area near Torrey Preserve.

According to the officers, the man crashed his electronic bicycle into an illegally parked car in a bike lane.

The paramedics immediately responded to the scene and rushed the man to an area hospital for serious injuries and several fractures. 

Officers say no passengers in the parked Nissan car sustained injuries.

In the meantime, officers say they do not suspect DUI but they are still investigating the San Diego traffic crash.
