Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident While Walking His Bike on Rubicon Street

 
Napa, CA (September 3, 2020) – On Wednesday, a 77-year-old man was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident on Rubicon Street.
 
Napa police said the victim was walking his bike across Jefferson Street in a crosswalk at mid-day when he was struck by a southbound motorist on his way to Lucky Market.
 
Authorities said the eastbound pedestrian stepped about 5 feet into the crosswalk at Rubicon Street when the accident happened at 11:30 AM.
 
As a result, the victim was unconsciously knocked to the ground.
 
The Napa Fire Department treated the victim at the scene and took him by ambulance to Queen of the Valley Medical Center
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation. Speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Also, there was no indication that the motorist was driving distracted by an electronic device.
