Woman Fatally Struck on Pino Drive
Lakeside, CA (February 18, 2022) – On Thursday, a 77-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries in a Pino Drive accident.
The accident happened about 6:45 a.m. at the intersection with Lindo Lane.
A northbound 2000 Honda Accord driven by a 37-year-old man struck the woman while she was crossing Lindo Lane from west to east. She had almost completely crossed the street when she was hit.
Immediately, the rescuers took the victim to a hospital in San Diego, where she succumbed to her injuries. Officers withheld her identity pending notification of her family.
Moreover, the involved driver driver, who was with a child with him in the car, remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Police do not consider alcohol nor drugs as a factor in this collision.
