76-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Ventura Road [Oxnard, CA]

Oxnard, CA (August 28, 2021) – On Friday,  a 76-year-old man died in pedestrian accident on Ventura Road.

The fatal accident happened at 3:55 a.m. near the intersection with Bay Boulevard. 

Police said a 2018 Ford Mustang driven by a 20-year-old Oxnard man was southbound on the roadway when it crashed with the pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk at Bay Boulevard.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and lost his life on the scene.

On the other hand,  the involved Mustang driver left the scene but later returned as police were investigating.

Meanwhile, the authorities do not consider speed to be a factor in this crash. They are still investigating to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role.
