76-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Dies in Hacienda Avenue DUI Crash [Desert Hot Springs, CA]

Desert Hot Springs, CA (February 24, 2022) – On Wednesday, a 76-year-old male pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in a DUI crash on Hacienda Avenue.

The deadly collision happened at about 10:40 p.m. at Maui Way.

According to the authorities, the eastbound driver failed to see the pedestrian walking on the roadway.

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team immediately responded to the crash scene.

Unfortunately, the victim lost his life at the crash scene.

Moreover, the officers arrested the involved driver on DUI charges. They booked her into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
