76-Year-Old Abelina Ortiz-De Garcia Dies in McKinley Avenue Pedestrian Accident [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (April 27, 2022) On Wednesday, 76-year-old Abelina Ortiz-De Garcia from Fresno died in a Pedestrian accident on McKinley Avenue.

Police say that the fatal collision happened around 7:45 a.m between Palm Avenue and Harrison Avenue.

Reports say that a westbound vehicle fatally struck Ortiz-De Garcia while she was crossing the street.

Authorities say that the woman may have not been in a crosswalk when she was struck.

Officers say that the driver called 911 and did not leave the scene.

Police closed McKinley Avenue for several hours during the investigation.
