Man Dies Ten Days after San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Quimby Road near Burdick Way

 
SAN JOSE, CA (April 21, 2022) – Last Sunday, 74-year-old Rogelio Lara died ten days after the pedestrian crash on Quimby Road.
 
The incident occurred on April 7th around 2:54 p.m. on Quimby Road near Burdick Way.
 
According to reports, Rogelio Lara of San Jose crossed Quimby Road outside a marked crosswalk. Then, a 2014 Hyundai Sedan hit him.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Also, the driver didn’t exhibit signs of drug or alcohol influence.
 
Meanwhile, responders took Lara to a hospital in stable condition. However, ten days after the collision, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
Rogelio Lara’s death is the city’s 25th fatal collision, and the 15th pedestrian fatality this year.
