74-Year-Old Jerry Wallace Dies in Union Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash [Bakersfield, CA]

Bakersfield, CA (September 30, 2021) – On September 21 afternoon, a hit-and-run crash on Union Avenue fatally injured the 74-year-old Jerry Wallace.

Officers said Wallace was southbound on Union Avenue approaching Columbus Street when a vehicle struck the passenger side of his vehicle. 

The vehicle immediately fled after the crash.

Wallace succumbed to his injuries the following night at Kern Medical.

Police said there is no suspect information as of yet.
