73-Year-Old Man Killed in Highway 27 Accident [Spokane Valley, WA]

Spokane Valley, WA (September 29, 2024) – A 73-year-old man was killed in a Highway 27 accident Friday night.

Troopers said the man was struck by a pickup truck while running across the road.

WSP initially reported the incident as an injury collision but updated the report to a fatal crash.

Officers said the pedestrian had died after being transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center while the driver and the passenger of the truck were not hurt. 

Moreover, the authorities closed the southbound lanes of the freeway to investigate the fatal crash.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
