Novar Ismailya Dead in Glendale Accident
GLENDALE, CA (December 27, 2018) – A 72-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Glendale on Friday, December 21.
The Glendale Police Department identified the deceased woman as Novar Ismailya, a Glendale resident, on Saturday.
According to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department, officers responded at around 7:20 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Linden Avenue and found the woman dead at the scene.
Suttles said that the area where the woman was hit was described as a very dark portion of Glenoaks Boulevard.
Detectives have a video of the woman walking in the vicinity just before she was struck, but do not have a video of the incident, Suttles said.
A description of the suspect or suspect’s car was not available.
Police urged witnesses or anyone with surveillance video of the collision to come forward.
