1 Dead in El Monte Bicycle Crash on Peck Road
EL MONTE, CA (August 15, 2021) – Friday morning, a 72-year-old bicyclist died in an accident on Peck Road in El Monte.
The incident happened at around 6:45 a.m. when a car hit the bicyclist. Moreover, the fatal crash occurred at around 6:45 a.m. in the 4400 block of Peck Road.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased bicyclist from El Monte.
Meanwhile. Sgt. Jimmie Pitts confirmed that a southbound Toyota Scion n Peck Road hit the rider.
The events that have led up to the crash remain unclear.
However, the 20-year-old El Monte man who drove the Scion remained at the scene. Also, the authorities haven’t made any arrests.
Also, the police do not believe that the driver was intoxicated during the crash.
