1 Hurt in San Diego Bicycle Accident on Lilac Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 25, 2019) – A 71-year-old man sustained injuries in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Lilac Road on November 23.
 
According to reports, a 71-year-old Carlsbad man traveled north on his bicycle along Lilac Road just south of Hideaway Lake Circle. However, a vehicle hit him at around 12:53 p.m.
 
The collision ejected the rider from his bike and responders took him to Palomar Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, the involved vehicle went driving north along Lilac Road.
 
The authorities are seeking help in determining the hit-and-run driver. The driver used a likely a gray or silver Toyota 4Runner with probable damage to its right side.
 
Authorities also urged anyone with information to contact the CHP’s Border Communications Center at 858-637-3800.
