7 Injured in Fatal DUI Collision on Interstate 5
Tacoma, WA (March 20, 2022) On Friday morning, a multi-car collision on Interstate 5 killed a 54-year-old Lakewood man and injured several others.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that the fatal collision happened at about 8 a.m. and involved 2 big rigs and 6 other vehicles.
The WSP says that the crash injured a total of 7 people and killed 1 person.
Rescuers took 3 people to Tacoma General Hospital and 1 person was taken to Madigan Army Medical Center.
Moreover, officials are investigating the driver who caused the crash, impairment is considered a factor.
Furthermore, authorities are charging him with vehicular homicide and four counts of vehicular assault.
The crash and investigation closed the road for over 7 hours.
