Sycuan Casino Bus and Car Head-On Collision on Dehesa Road in Crest
CREST, CA (November 18, 2019) — Seven people suffered injuries in a head-on collision on Dehesa Road in Crest Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 12:15 p.m. near Willow Glen Drive according to the California Highway Patrol. It involved a Sycuan Casino bus and a small car.
First responders had to extricate one person trapped in the smaller vehicle. The driver of the car sustained major injuries but was expected to survive.
On the other hand, at least six other people were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The bus had front-end damage as a result of the crash. Scattered debris can also be found on the roadway following the incident. Tow trucks removed both vehicles from the scene.
It was not immediately clear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. However, further investigation is underway.
