Injuries Reported in Rialto Auto Accident on Baseline Road

RIALTO, CA (October 11, 2022) – Monday morning, seven people suffered injuries in a truck crash on Baseline Road.

According to reports, the crash involving a truck occurred at the 160 block of Baseline Road. According to reports, a woman in her 70s attempted to park in one of the marked disabled parking spots. Then, she collided with a Toyota Tundra in front of the store. As a result, three registers were hit.

Officers confirmed that the vehicle went around 30 feet into a Stater Bros. store.

As a result, two people sustained significant injuries. Meanwhile, five others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Also, reports revealed that at least one employee was taken out of the store on a stretcher and onto an ambulance.

At this time, the authorities do not believe that DUI played a role in the crash.

“Initial reports show she was attempting to a park here … did not place the vehicle in park, may have allowed the vehicle to start rolling forward and then maybe panicked and at some point, pushed on the gas,” revealed RPD Cpl. Nic Parcher. “Thankfully there were no major, major injuries or potentially any deaths.”
