7 Hurt in Fontana Car Accident
FONTANA, CA (December 27, 2019) – Seven people, including four juveniles, sustained injuries in a car accident on Ceres Avenue on December 18.
The crash happened at around 9:30 p.m. when a Fontana School Police officer tried to stop a Honda. However, the driver – an adult male – immediately fled, driving westbound on Ceres Avenue.
The Honda didn’t stop at the intersection at Citrus Avenue and crashed into a southbound Mini-SUV, Lt. Lee Powell, the acting chief of the FUSD Police Department revealed.
A family of six occupied the mini-SUV. Responders transported all six to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the male adult suffered a broken leg.
The driver of the stolen Honda also sustained injuries and got hospitalized. He will be facing charges.
