65-Year-Old Injured in Seattle Pedestrian Crash
SEATTLE, WA (March 9, 2020) – Early Thursday morning, a 65-year-old male pedestrian was left in critical condition after a collision on 3rd Avenue.
According to reports, the man was struck by an unidentified vehicle in the 1600 block of 3rd Avenue around 7:45 a.m. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.
Emergency personnel located the 65-year-old pedestrian between the vehicle and the retaining wall in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. Crews then made the vehicle steady before extricating the victim.
After the pedestrian was freed, medics took him to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment of serious injuries. There has been no update on his current condition.
Furthermore, the surrounding area on 3rd Avenue was closed off for a brief time while crews cleared the scene. At this time, authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
