Passengers Injured in Fatal DUI Crash East of Sycuan Summit Drive
El Cajon, CA (April 01, 2022) On Friday, a solo-vehicle DUI crash killed a 64-year-old man and injured 3 others on Dehesa Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) says that fatal crash happened around 8:30 a.m. east of Sycuan Summit Drive.
Reports say that a 2016 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 34-year-old female driver from La Mesa crashed down an embankment.
Moreover, the investigation says that the driver allowed the vehicle to travel off the south edge of the road.
Eventually, the car struck a rock, then a tree, and, finally a fence.
Paramedics say that there were 3 passengers inside the vehicle, a 39-year-old man a 29-year-old man, and a 64-year-old man who died in the crash.
Furthermore, rescuers took all the injured parties to the hospital for immediate treatment.
The CHP is investigating the crash and has not released additional information.
