Driver Arrested in Crash Near Columbia Center Boulevard
Kennewick, WA (April 21, 2022) – On Wednesday, a 63-year-old woman from Kennewick sustained injuries in a vehicle crash on State Route 240.
The traffic collision took place at 1:00 p.m. near Columbia Center Boulevard.
Officers said a 30-year-old Kennewick woman was driving a 2022 Ford Flex that was merging onto the freeway. At the same time, another vehicle was westbound on the freeway.
Reports said the Kennewick woman hit a 1997 Toyota 4Runner driven by the 63-year-old Kennewick woman.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed the injured woman to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in unknown condition.
Officers said the cause of the crash was inattention. They charged the Kennewick with negligent driving to the second degree.
The authorities do not consider DUI in this incident.
