63-Year-Old Woman Killed in Fatal DUI Crash on 72nd Street East and Woodland Avenue
Puyallup, WA (March 20, 2021) – On Saturday, a 63-year-old woman lost her life in a DUI crash on 72nd Street East.
Officers said a 47-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on 72nd Street East at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
He ran a red light and struck an SUV at the intersection of Woodland Avenue.

The woman driving the SUV died at the scene, while rescuers rushed the suspect driver and his passenger to the hospital.
Meanwhile, officers are investigating to see if the driver was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the accident.
