Injuries Reported in Tacoma Accident on Interstate 5 and Interstate 705
TACOMA, WA (November 24, 2022) – Earlier this month, a man suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 and Interstate 705.
The incident happened last November 11 around noon on southbound Interstate 5 near the exit for Interstate 705.
According to reports, a hit-and-run driver caused a five-car wreck. Meanwhile, the man driving a Dodge Caravan approached the Interstate 705 exit. Then, a series of collisions caused him to rear-end another vehicle.
Afterward, the suspect vehicle continued in the center lane when it moved one lane to the right, which was occupied by a Subaru Outback.
Then, the Subaru driver veered to the far right lane to avoid a collision. However, it struck the rear of the Dodge Caravan.
As a result, the Dodge was pushed into an Acura MDX SUV, which then crashed with a Ford F150 pickup.
After the crash, the suspect didn’t stop and fled through the exit to northbound Interstate 705.
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with additional information to call detective Tessa Schahfer at 253-538-3172.
