63-Year-Old Man Dies in Fifth Street Pedestrian Accident [Oxnard, CA]

Officers Investigate Fatal Traffic Accident in Oxnard

Oxnard, CA (February 16, 2023) – On Tuesday night, a 63-year-old man lost his life in a Fifth Street pedestrian accident.

The fatal collision took place at about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection with G Street.

The Oxnard Police Department said a 47-year-old Oxnard man driving a westbound 2003 Chevrolet Express struck the pedestrian while crossing the street. 

Immediately, emergency personnel treated the victim and rushed him to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers’ investigation. Police do not consider speed or impairment as factors in the collision. The van was a 2003 Chevrolet Express.

Officers are investigating the deadly traffic accident in Oxnard.
