1 Dead in Alger Car Crash
ALGER, WA (October 8, 2019) – A 62-year-old man died in a DUI car crash on Alger Cain Lake Road on October 7.
According to reports, the man succumbed to death after a van collided with his vehicle head-on. Upon receiving reports of a head-on crash, troopers and medics came in the 300 block of Alger Cain Lake Road, at around 12:45 a.m.
They located two wrecked vehicles – a white Ford Econoline van and a blue Mazda Protege.The van driver didn’t suffer any injury.
Meanwhile, authorities revealed that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The Mazda driver died at the scene. However, the 31-year-old van driver from Maple Falls did not suffer any injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, the van driver traveling north on the two-lane roadway drove into the southbound lane, crashing head-on into the Mazda.
The police added that charges are still pending.
