1 Dead in Oceanside Pedestrian Accident on Oceanside Boulevard and Hoover Street

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (January 4, 2021) – Sunday night, a 62-year-old man died in a crash on Oceanside Boulevard and Hoover Street.
 
The authorities received a report of the crash just after 6:35 p.m. It happened on Oceanside Boulevard, west of Hoover Street, said Oceanside Police Sgt. Rick Davis.
 
According to investigations, the 62-year-old male pedestrian was lying in a westbound lane for reasons still unknown. Then, a westbound vehicle on Oceanside Boulevard hit him.
 
Reports added that some vehicles stopped at the scene. Meanwhile, the officers are still trying to identify which vehicle or vehicles hit the pedestrian.
 
As a result of the crash, the man died at the scene. His identity is being withheld due to pending family notification.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t clarified whether the victim was intoxicated.
 
Furthermore, the crash remains under active investigation.
