Head-On Crash on Alicante Road Leaves Two Injured

 
Carlsbad, CA (December 29, 2020) – Tuesday afternoon, a 62-year-old Carlsbad man sustained severe injuries in Alicante Road’s head-on crash.
 
The Carlsbad crash happened at 12:41 p.m. on December 29.
 
According to reports, a man driving the Honda CR-V was northbound on Alicante Road at a high rate of speed. The driver then crossed over into the oncoming traffic lane and hit the Dodge Durango head-on.
 
As a result, the Honda driver, a 62-year-old Carlsbad man, was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Durango, a 44-year-old Oceanside man, suffered minor injuries.
 
No other occupants were found in either vehicle. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
