60-Year-Old Marvin Belt Dies in Highway 125 Collision [Rogersville, MO]

Rogersville, MO (October 7, 2024) – 60-year-old Marvin Belt of Rogersville was killed in a Highway 125 collision Friday morning.

It was about 8 a.m. when the fatal crash happened near the intersection with Farm Road 186.

The investigating officer said Marvin Belt was putting up yard sale signs when he stopped to help an elderly woman driving through the intersection.

Later on, an SUV peaked at a hill near the intersection and crashed into the car with the elderly woman and struck Belt. 

Afterward, the elderly woman’s vehicle crashed into a nearby fence.

Belt was transported to a Springfield hospital where he died while the elderly driver was in stable condition

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
