Fatal Pedestrian Accident North of Avenue 413
Tulare County, CA (September 22, 2022) – At about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, a 60-year-old man lost his life in a Highway 63 accident.
The authorities immediately responded to the crash scene north of Avenue 413 in Orosi.
When officers arrived on scene, they determined that a Chevy Equinox was southbound on Highway 63 when the pedestrian walking across the highway walked directly in front of the vehicle.
Due to the darkness, the Chevy driver did not see the man and struck him.
The impact of the crash threw the man into the air and back onto the road.
Sadly, he sustained major injuries and the authorities declared him dead at the scene.
Police say the pedestrian was not crossing at a crosswalk or intersection.
The driver did not sustain injuries from the accident.
