6-Year-Old Andrews Boy Killed in SE Avenue E Collision [Andrews, TX]

Andrews, TX (August 15, 2024) – A 6-year-old Andrews boy was killed in a SE Avenue E collision Wednesday morning.

It was about 6:04 a.m. when the fatal hit-and-run crash happened in the 200 block area.

The accident report stated that a White Dodge Ram Gang Truck struck the child. Andrews PD was able to identify driver that originally struck the victim. 

However, a vehicle behind the Dodge truck also struck the boy and fled the scene.

Immediately, a Texas Highway Patrol trooper arrived at the accident scene and attempted life-saving measures. The rescuers took the child to  Permian Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Andrews Police Department is asking for public’s help or witness that may have information on this fatal crash to contact the police department at 432-523-5675, message their Facebook page, or text APDTIP to 847411 followed by the information.

Officers are also looking for the driver of the second vehicle and is asking the driver to contact them as soon as possible.
