Baby Killed in HWY 395 Collision
Stevens County, WA (July 17, 2024) – 6-month-old Emma Hays sustained fatal injuries following a Highway 395 collision Monday morning.
WSP officers said two vehicles were northbound on the freeway when the vehicle occupied by two adults, a 2 and 3-year-old boy, and 6-month-old Emma Hays attempted a left turn on Bakie Road.
The other vehicle was following too close and rear-ended the first vehicle.
Emma was rushed to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle also incurred injuries.
Moreover, troopers said drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors.
