Injuries Reported in Beaumont Auto Accident on Southbound State Route 79
BEAUMONT, CA (February 16, 2022) – Tuesday morning, six people sustained injuries in a solo crash on southbound State Route 79.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Jason Montez, the incident happened at around 7:37 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on southbound State Route 79.
Reports revealed that a gold Toyota Camry lost control while making a lane change on the rain-slicked highway. Then, the Toyota crashed down a hillside in Lamb’s Canyon. Afterward, the force of the crash ejected four passengers from the vehicle.
Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated one person trapped inside the vehicle. Then, officials confirmed that four people sustained serious injuries. Meanwhile, two patients suffered at least minor injuries. Paramedics transported three patients to Loma Linda and three patients to Riverside University Health Systems Medical Center.
Furthermore, officers believe that speed and the rainy weather played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, authorities closed one lane of the highway to give way to the investigation.
