Meadow Vista Woman Dies in Crash Scene on Placer Hills Road

 
Meadow Vista, CA (March 19, 2021) – On Friday, a 59-year-old Meadow Vista woman lost her life in a head-on crash on Placer Hills Road.
 
The fatal crash took place minutes after 6 a.m. near Pinewood Way.
 
Reports said the woman was driving a Ford F-150 south when she was struck by a 20-year-old Meadow Vista man driving a Subaru Impreza heading north on the same road.
 
The Impreza driver drifted into southbound traffic directly into the way of the woman’s F-150.
 
As a result, the woman’s vehicle crashed off the roadway and overturned into an embankment.
 
When rescuers arrived, they found the woman unresponsive, still seated in the driver’s seat of the F-150.
 
Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene of the crash.
 
On the other hand, the Impreza driver sustained moderate injuries. Responders took him by ambulance to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident. Though, they are unsure as to why the driver drifted into oncoming traffic.
 
Officers closed Placer Hills Road for about two hours due to the accident.
