1 Dead in El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on Chase Avenue
EL CAJON, CA (November 8, 2019) – A 58-year-old man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Chase Avenue on November 6.
The police and medical responders came at around 6:25 p.m. on Chase Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. Upon their arrival, they located the victim while a concerned citizen administers a CPR, Lt. Jason Taub of the El Cajon Police Department.
Responders took the victim to a hospital where he later died. His identity remains unreleased as of this time.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a small white or silver four-door sedan traveled west in the 700 block of Chase Avenue. The vehicle struck the victim crossing the street in an unmarked intersection. After the crash, the vehicle then made a U-turn at Lincoln Avenue and fled.
The investigators believe that the involved vehicle will have probable damages to the bumper, hood, and windshield.
